About Cougar Crates
Our Story
It all started during our own chaotic move-in experience at BYU. Running between three different stores, forgetting essential items, and arriving at our dorm exhausted before classes even started – we knew there had to be better student move-in solutions.
After surveying hundreds of BYU students, we discovered that 85% experienced significant stress during their move-in process. Most forgot critical items, overspent on unnecessary things, or simply felt overwhelmed by the logistics of BYU housing.
That's when Cougar Crates was born. We partnered with housing complexes, interviewed RAs and students, and carefully curated dorm kits that contain exactly what each living situation requires. No more, no less.
Our Mission
To transform the BYU housing experience during student move-in from stressful chaos into organized excitement, we provide effective student move-in solutions and dorm kits, allowing every student to focus on what matters most: their education, new friendships, and future.
